Palliative care: a critical component of care for women
Abstract
Palliative care is a part of the obligation of health professionals in their ongoing health care and advocacy for women. Key components of that care include understanding the approach to psychosocial issues as well as management of major symptoms of progressive disease, particularly gastrointestinal symptoms, pulmonary symptoms and pain management.
